PipelineFX today announced a new partnership with render server company Boxx that will see its render farm management software Qube bundled with Boxx servers. Offering a render farm management system for film, post production, game development, and digital media education, PipelineFX says that Qube "maximizes job throughput and accelerates the millions of computational tasks that occur during the graphics rendering and software build processes." Qube has custom pipelines for applications like Autodesk 3ds Max, Audodesk Maya, Nuke Softimage XSI, Adobe AfterEffects, Pixar's RenderMan, and more. The software operates in Linux, Windows, and Mac OSX environments. Boxx's render farm solutions also integrate software applications and rendering engines including Autodesk Maya and 3DS Max, mental ray Standalone, VRay, eyeon Fusion, Adobe After Effects CS4, Autodesk Combustion, and others. "Boxx has proven themselves as a real solution provider in the North American animation and graphics market," says PipelineFX Sales VP Richard Lewis. "Their expertise in configuring and supporting systems designed for digital media production, combined with their hardware offerings and third-party rendering software options, allows BOXX to really offer a first-class render farm solution from a single vendor."
