Graphic Remedy has announced that the latest version of its OpenGL and OpenGL ES debugger and profiler gDEBugger has been released, adding most notably support for Windows Vista as well as a number of other enhancements. The company says the OpenGL debugger, now in version 3.1, traces application activity on top of OpenGL to provide application behavior information needed to find bugs and optimize application performance. The software also allows users to peer inside OpenGL usage to see the affect individual commands have on application behavior, and locate bugs to removing redundant calls and errors to performing regression tests. Other features include enhancements to the State Variables Comparison Viewer allowing users to compare the current state variables values to the default render context values, file export capabilities for Function Calls Statistics view data, right click context menus added to all views and more.
