Genemation Ltd, developer of 3D face synthesis and character modeling tools, has announced a partnership with mobile marketing technology firm SnG in order “empower brands and their marketing agencies” to market properties in “innovative, unique and compelling ways.” The announcement partners Genemation's end to end server side image modification solution, called GenMobile, with SnG's Inflite ‘On-Device Portal’ mobile consumer engagement platform. Some of the image alterations made possible using Genemation’s technology include the automatic placing of faces in other images, superimposing faces to replace other faces, virtual make-up, virtual aging, and synthesized expressions. Together, the firms note that the technologies offer mobile users a service where they can capture images from their mobile phone and apply a variety of different transformations, and can then send the results for free to other users of SnG's Inflite service, which can be installed onto mobile handsets and provide anytime, anywhere access to the brand and its products and services. Genemation recently announced the availability of its facial computer vision technology, which enables the real time capture as well as efficient facial modification, for content creation on mobile phones, as well as other platforms and devices. In addition, the company's GenMobile technology can be used in conjunction with video game console camera technology, such as Sony's EyeToy or Microsoft's Vison camera, as well as standard digital cameras.
