According to Sony CFO Takao Yuhara, sales of the PSX multimedia device have fallen short of expectations. Shipments of the device have totaled 650,000 units in Japan, although the company has not revealed sell-through figures. According to Yuhara, "PSX sales were strong in the beginning, but the system has failed to meet expectations." Japanese analysts have suggested in the past that the device is too expensive and lacks some necessary features. Source: Polygon
