Scottish developer Realtime Worlds has opened a new 8,000-square foot office space in its home base of Dundee, hoping to add over 40 new employees to support the development and launch of APB.
Scottish developer Realtime Worlds says it's opened a new office space in its home base of Dundee, adding an 8,000-square foot facility. The Crackdown developer adds to its existing 26,000-square foot location with the aim of growing staff as it works on open-world multiplayer title All Points Bulletin for a launch early next year. Currently housing 265 staffers, the new facility will help Realtime Worlds grow its employee base to over 300 by year's end, the company says. "When we opened our current facility less than three years ago, we hadn’t yet shipped our first game," says studio manager Colin Macdonald. "Since then, we’ve had tremendous commercial and critical success, and have done the lion’s share of the work towards a successful launch of our online title APB." "This additional space allows us to continue to grow at the pace needed to attain the quality of a game like APB, and build the infrastructure required to support its online launch," he adds.
