Realviz has announced that version 4.0 of its Stitcher product is expected to ship in January 2004, and is encouraging people to buy the current version (3.5) by offering a $50 (U.S./Euro) discount and a free upgrade to 4.0 for any first-time purchase made before the end of the year--making the cost of the product $499 for either the Windows or Mac version. After the offer expires, the price to upgrade to version 4.0 will be $180. Enhancements to the product will include support for exchange of PSD images with Photoshop, support for EXIF metadata of images taken with digital cameras, and improvements to the quality of the exported panoramas.
