Publisher Red Mile has announced it has chosen Epic's Unreal Engine 3 for the production of its forthcoming next-gen Sin City game, based on Frank Miller's popular graphic novels. Red Mile first acquired the rights to the property in May of this year. Since then the publisher has announced that Union Entertainment, former producers on games including The Red Star and The Darkness have been tapped for the title. The design, scriptwriting and story generation of Sin City will be overseen by Flint Dille, who has previously won awards for stories he produced for The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and Dead to Rights, who has said that he and Miller "have been having a party coming up with nasty stuff for the game." Red Mile president and COO Glenn Wong said, "The Unreal Engine is one of the most technically advanced engines on the market and is a perfect fit for our Sin City video games. The engine has powered several of the best-selling games of all time and I am very glad we have the opportunity to arm our developers with such a world-class product." Added Epic's Mark Rein, "We're extremely excited to be working with Red Mile. We have been Frank Miller / Sin City fans for a long time and are pleased that our technology will be a key factor, and we’re confident that they’re going to make a great game with it.”
