Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively-compiled list. This week will bring the North American releases of The Godfather II, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, and Ninja Blade. Gamers in Europe can expect to see We Rock: Drum King, while Japan gets Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes and Oboro Muramasa. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending April 11th, 2009. EA's crime drama sequel The Godfather II will also see a multiplatform release this week, while From Software's ninja action title Ninja Blade is set to debut exclusively on the Xbox 360. The PlayStation Portable boasts an especially strong lineup this week. Sony's portable will soon host the 2D fighter upgrade Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, the side-scrolling brawler Hammerin' Hero, and a one-on-one fighter based on the upcoming live-action Dragonball movie. The UK will also see a pair of region-exclusive games in the Diva Girls series, along with an early release for We Rock: Drum King, which will not see a North American release until next month. A U.S. release will arrive later this year under the title Muramasa: The Demon Blade. PlayStation 2 owners will see 5pb's adventure title Hyakko: Yorozuya Jikenbo! this week, along with a port of the one-on-one fighter sequel Arcana Heart 2. Japanese Nintendo DS releases for this week include a pair of educational games from Rocket Company and the quiz titles Pocket Chikyuugi DS and Rhythm de RunRunRun. PSP owners can expect to see the history-based brawler Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes and the anime-based adventure game Neon Genesis Evangelion: Koutetsu no Girlfriend Tokubetsu-Hen Portable.
