Several consumer websites, including CVG, spotted mention of the channel on the company's own customer support site, in a paragraph instructing users on how to redeem Download Tickets for products offered on the online DSi Shop. "To redeem a Nintendo DSi Download Ticket number, such as for the Nintendo DSi Speak Channel, enter the number off the Nintendo DSi Download Ticket in 'Settings and Features' off of the main Nintendo DSi Shop page, then select 'Nintendo DSi Download Ticket,'" read the message. The mention only remained live on the site for a brief period and has since been edited to remove any mention of a DSi Speak channel. Nintendo's telling media sites today it has nothing to announce, and thus the reports should be relegated to the realm of rumor. Wii owners can purchase a Wii Speak microphone accessory to be used for voice chat with games like Animal Crossing: City Folk, with which it debuted. The DSi's built-in microphone makes a voice channel at least a feasible possibility.
