European publisher Rising Star Games has announced that it will be bringing the DS remake of PlayStation 2 title Flower, Sun and Rain to the region in October of 2008, an adventure title from Killer7 and No More Heroes developer Grasshopper Manufacture. Rising Star describes the game as "an intriguing mystery adventure very much in the vein of Groundhog Day," where players take the role of a detective attempting to locate and defuse a bomb by solving puzzles and the mystery of his surroundings "before he eventually goes insane." The publisher says the DS version "features all the creative quirks that made the original a hit and uniquely utilises the touch screen to solve mysteries, offering players a more intimate experience." Grasshopper head Goichi Suda (Suda51) said in April of 2007 that the company was also remaking his PlayStation original adventure The Silver Case for the DS, and that it would eventually make its way to the west as well. Commented Suda, “It’s great news that European gamers are getting to play Flower, Sun and Rain. All of my creative work involves a touch of the bizarre and unexpected and this game is no different!”
