Gamasutra's latest custom compiled Amazon.com charts find Uncharted 2 leading worldwide software sales across all platforms, as Shin Megami Tensei: Persona heads domestic sales on the PSP.
Gamasutra's weekly column, "Saling The World", covers the top five sellers for every available platform in the United States, Japan, and Europe, providing an important update of sales patterns worldwide. This week's charts, with data taken from October 15th, 2009, find Uncharted 2 leading worldwide software sales across all platforms, as Shin Megami Tensei: Persona heads domestic sales on the PSP. Data for "Saling The World" comes courtesy of the public sales information on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.co.jp, with sales split out for each platform and territory, and pre-orders disregarded. This results in a true sense of what games are selling worldwide on the real-time updated service, as follows: Nintendo Wii North America: 1. Wii Fit Plus (Nintendo), 2. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo), 3. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Nintendo), 4. Wii Sports Resort (Nintendo), 5. Wii Play (Nintendo). Japan: 1. Okami -- Special Edition (Capcom), 2. Wii Fit Plus (Nintendo), 3. Mario Kart Wii moves up two chart spots in this week's Nintendo Wii software sales rankings in North America, with overall results headed by the reigning chart champion Wii Fit Plus. The deluxe edition of Demon's Souls drops to fourth place after leading the charts last week, while the regular edition climbs up to take second place.
