Sega president and Sammy CEO Hajime Satomi has announced that he wants to see the two companies making a billion dollar combined annual profit by 2006 – with Sega contributing at least $200 million to that figure. How this is to be achieved is not yet clear, considering Sega only recorded net profits of $72.6 million in 2003, however it is likely that Satomi sees the majority of this profit coming from both companies’ arcade operations.
