Japan’s largest mobile phone operator, NTT DoCoMo Inc. and Sony joined forces to create a wallet phone: A fully-functional mobile phone containing Sony’s FeliCa smart chip, the scannable component that will enable purchasing, Reuters reported yesterday. Although gaming was not the main focus of the electronic device, gamemakers did not fall by the wayside either. Sega tested a game playing service that would be compatible with the phones and technology.
