Registration has just opened for the Southern Interactive Entertainment and Gaming Expo (SIEGE), which takes place in Atlanta, Georgia from October 5 -7, 2007. The event is sponsored by the Georgia Game Developers Association. Most of the area colleges with game design programs, such as Georgia Tech, the Art Institute of Atlanta, and American Intercontinental University, are active participants. Keynote speakers include Brad Merritt, Cartoon Network; Sam Lewis, lead designer for Cartoon Network MMO; Johnny Wilson, Manifesto Games, former editor of Computer Gaming World; and Marcus Matthews, Blue Heat. Georgia Tech is represented by Ian Bogost, Persuasive Games, and Celia Pearce from the Ga Tech Experimental Game Lab and Emergent Game Group.
