Siggraph organizers today announced that its panels program will return to the agenda this year at the conference, which will be held August 8-12 in Los Angeles. Francis Schmidt of Bergen Community College will moderate the panel “3D Animation: Difficult or Impossible to Teach and Learn?” Panelists from Electronic Arts, BioWare Corp., and Ringling School of Art and Design will participate in the debate and discussion. Other panel topics will include careers in computer graphics entertainment; games development and the next generation of hardware; and next-generation user interface technology for consumer electronics.
