Representatives from Sony have announced an upgrade of the PlayStation Broadband Navigator for the PlayStation 2. The new version of the software will remove the music channel, which had previously allowed music files to be stored on the optional hard drive. Although no official reason was given for the move it is suspected to be over concerns of piracy, since files can subsequently be transferred from the hard drive to Net-MD players.
