When Sony launches its PlayStation Move control scheme in Japan on October 21, it has announced that it will price the main motion controller at ¥3,980 ($45), and the optional "navigation unit" at ¥2,980 ($34). U.S. pricing for the PlayStation 3 motion control peripheral has already been revealed to be $49.99 for the main controller and $29.99 for the accessory -- and the hardware launches a month earlier in North America on September 19. Website Andriasang provided a report on updates to the company's launch plans for the region: The PlayStation Eye camera required to work with Move is normally sold separately, but Sony will bundle it together in a "starter pack" with the main motion controller and a game called Beat Sketch for ¥5,980 ($68). The bundle will become available at the same time as the main controller. The official launch lineup is composed of almost entirely Sony Computer Entertainment Japan-published titles -- EyePet, Sports Champion, Beat Sketch, High Velocity Bowling and Kung Fu Rider -- and one Namco Bandai game, Big 3 Gun Shooting. Several more titles, from the E3-demoed Sorcery to Echocrome and Ape Escape, will arrive later in November, December and into 2011, exclusively for PS Move. Some existing PS3 games are slated to receive compatibility; Capcom's Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition gets it at launch, for example, Hustler King, Heavy Rain will be upgraded later, and Killzone 3 will have compatibility at launch. The company will offer hardware/software bundles at launch, too. -- a ¥7,980 ($91) Resident Evil Special Pack includes the controller, camera and game. The Big 3 Gun Shooting bundle is much the same, except it also includes the Move Shooting Attachment and thus is priced higher at ¥11,980 ($136).
