An interview with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) president David Reeves that was posted and then retracted on uk.playstation.com has revealed plans to produce a number of new models of both the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 console. In the interview Reeves hinted at the widely expected PS two, which will be a slimed down and cheaper version of the current hardware, but he also spoke about plans to release different models of the PlayStation 3, with an "all-singing, all-dancing" version similar to the PSX which would retail for between $730 and $850 and a simpler games and DVD only model that would retail for $240. Finally, Reeves suggested that the ultimate goal for the company was to get into electronic broadband distribution – although he indicated that this would not be feasible until 2 or 3MB speed connections were commonplace.
