Sony officials have announced that the all-in-one PSX multimedia device will be unveiled to the public at the CEATEC Japan 2003 industry show in Makuhari, Tokyo on Tuesday 7th September. The PSX incorporates a TV tuner, DVD recorder, hard disc drive and PS2 into a single box and is planed for launch in Japan at the end of this year, and the US and Europe in early 2004. As a result of the announcement Sony shares were up 1.28% at 3,950 yen ($35.8) in early afternoon trading, compared with a 0.50% rise in the benchmark Nikkei average.
