Two Worlds and Roogoo publisher Southpeak has joined the Entertainment Software Association, the ESA announced today. "We welcome SouthPeak Interactive to the ESA, and look forward to experiencing first-hand the array of creative products for which it is known," says ESA CEO Michael Gallagher. The ESA recently announced it had restructured its membership dues structure to allow more smaller and mid-sized publishers to participate. At the same time, Southpeak, also publisher of the My Baby series, Big Bang Mini and several titles including Velvet Assassin and Ninjatown gained from its acquisition of Gamecock, recently reported revenues of $17.3 million and profits of $1.2 million for its holiday quarter. This represents a reversal for the company of its $1.3 million loss last year, a far improved financial position that may be a factor in the publisher's ability to join the organization. "Our industry needs a strong and active trade organization and we are pleased to support that effort," says Southpeak marketing VP Richard Iggo. "We look forward to participating in the many programs and opportunities provided by the ESA."
