According to a recent report by Recoletos Cia Madrid the Spanish game industry generated sales in excess of €800 million ($992 million) last year with console software sales rising by more than 18% to €340 million ($422 million). It is estimated that 2.2 million PlayStation 2 units have been sold in Spain since its launch. By comparison, 1.5 million PS one, 520,000 Game Boy Advance, 225,000 Xbox and 110,000 GameCube units have been sold in the country to date. Source: Polygon
