Square Enix (Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest) has announced it will publish Wii exclusive RPG Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon in North America on July 8th, 2008. The title features the publisher's recurring Chocobo character in a world designed by longtime Square Enix character designer Toshiyuki Itahana, known for his work on the Crystal Chronicles franchise. In Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon, Chocobo takes on traditional job roles from other Square Enix franchise, like black mage, knight and scholar, with more jobs unlockable as players progress through the storyline. Chocobo is joined by fellow franchise mainstay Cid, and the treasure-hunting pair is tasked with recovering the memories of a mysterious town's inhabitants by exploring various dungeons. Additionally, as with other Square Enix properties, the game features a "Mog's House" of arcade-style minigames that employ the Wii remote.
