Former Take-Two COO Gary Dale will now head up Scottish Crackdown developer Realtime Worlds, as the studio announces today that Dale is its new CEO. "The Company is on the verge of launching products that will change current conceptions of what MMO games are about," says Dale. Realtime Worlds is currently developing "urban-themed" online open-world title APB (All Points Bulletin). "I can’t imagine a more exciting opportunity than to join this talented and creative team as we prepare to deliver such ground-breaking and high quality online entertainment to gamers around the globe," Dale adds. Dale has 25 years of executive experience; he resigned his most recent role at Take-Two in January, citing personal reasons. Before serving as the Grand Theft Auto publisher's overall COO, he was COO at the Rockstar Games label. Dale has also worked with Capcom, where he was European managing director, and was CEO at Take-Two subsidiary Broadband Studios. He's also held exec roles at companies including BMG -- where Dale worked together with Realtime Worlds co-founder David Jones -- and at Nabisco, Duracell, Walt Disney Company's Buena Vista Entertainment. "As RTW transitions from being a traditional developer to an online publisher I could not be happier that Gary will lead us through this exciting phase of our growth," says Jones.
