Big box retailer Target is trying a new strategy to lure gamers into its stores. The Minneapolis, Minn.-based firm said it would initiate a new game reservation program, in which customers can purchase a reservation card in stores for $1. When customers come back to Target to purchase the game, they receive a $5 Target gift card to put toward a future purchase. Consumers must bring back the reservation card within seven days of the game's release to receive the credit. The program begins April 19 with games including Nintendo's Punch Out!!!, EA Sports Active, Atari's Ghostbusters and other high-profile titles.
