As separate companies, the newly-merged Tecmo and Koei focused on distinct brands -- Tecmo's got action-oriented Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, while Koei's best known for the epic Dynasty Warriors franchise. But a new investor guide translated by the Andriasang website suggests the companies may soon celebrate their union with a crossover product. The Nikkei Corporate Quarterly has a short blurb on Koei-Tecmo that reads: "New Games: Will release games that combine Tecmo and Koei titles. The aim is to reach fans of both." Koei has experience in the crossover arena before, combining with longstanding cross-media mecha property Gundam for Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, while Tecmo successfully extrapolated the characters from its DoA fighting game into a lighter sporting context with Dead Or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball, which also spawned a sequel.
