The merger between Tecmo and Koei has yielded a separate subsidiary, Tecmo Koei Europe, that will specifically serve the European market beginning with the PlayStation 3-exclusive launch of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. The $207.7 million merger between Dynasty Warriors creator Koei and Ninja Gaiden house Tecmo was official in April of this year, and under one banner, the pair are clearly aiming to further globalize, most recently boosting its presence in Singapore. "This is a momentous occasion for both Koei and Tecmo," says sales and marketing VP Will Curley. "With some great quality titles coming from both sides, such as Undead Knights and Quantum Theory from Tecmo and Warriors: Legends of Troy and Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll from Koei, TKE will quickly become one of the major players in the video games industry." Tecmo Koei also plans to cross-breed some of the IP from the previously-separate companies, the better to help them reach new audiences.
