THQ Adds WWE Veteran As Business, Legal Exec

Former World Wrestling Entertainment exec Edward Kaufman has joined THQ, the publisher with the licensing rights to WWE video games, becoming its corporate secretary and executive VP of business and legal affairs.

Former World Wrestling Entertainment exec Edward Kaufman has joined THQ, the publisher with the licensing rights to WWE video games. Kaufman was executive VP, general counsel and secretary at WWE, and he takes a similar role at THQ as corporate secretary and executive VP of business and legal affairs. He's also held business and legal leadership roles at Hanna Barbera and NBC. "We are pleased to strengthen our management team with an experienced general counsel who has spent many years in the media and entertainment business," THQ president Brian Farrell said in a statement. Said Kaufman: "I am impressed with THQ’s strong turnaround and am excited to join the team as the company moves forward with its new more focused strategic plan. I look forward to helping THQ capitalize on the opportunities for growth in the interactive entertainment industry."
