IGN have listed a number of new rumoured features for Nintendo’s recently announced “DS” (Dual Screen) portable console. The exact sources for the rumors is not clear but the additional details include backwards compatibility with the Game Boy Advance, touch screen technology for one or both screens, wireless data communication support, 3D graphics capabilities similar to the Nintendo 64 (although sources seem split on this, with others suggesting purely 2D graphics) and the use of Matrix Semiconductor technology for memory cards. The feature also suggests a Japanese retail price equivalent to $129 – only slightly more expensive than the Game Boy Advance SP in that territory. Additionally it is claimed that no Western developers currently have DS development kits, although Japanese developers have had access to hardware since last year. Source: IGN
