Officials from UK developer Traveller's Tales have announced that the company has acquired UK motion capture house Centroid Motion Capture Limited, which will be reformed as TT Centroid Limited. TT Game Group's acquisition was assisted by accountancy firms Farleys Solicitors and Cowgill Holloway, who, according to a release, are further advising TT on more acquisitions to expand the developer's operations. Under the terms of the deal, Centroid's 10 UK employees, as well as the 12 people at its Serbian subsidiary will continue to be employed by TT Centroid. Traveller's Tales managing director Jon Burton has said that the company has secured a new lease for the operation at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, where "some of the biggest films in the country are produced," adding the relocation will "increase our presence in the film making industry." In January, TT Games also acquired British developer Embryonic Studios, who previously had worked on licensed video game titles, including Harry Potter and The Sorceror's Stone, Star Trek: Invasion, Looney Tunes Back in Action and Battlestar Galactica. Said Burton, “Acquiring Centroid Motion Capture allows us to add a further skill-set to the TT Games Group and strengthen our connections within the video games industry."
