Officials from Ubisoft have announced that the company has acquired ideveloper Tiwak. The acquisition is operative and has been consolidated since late December 2003. Tiwak are located in Montpellier, France and are most famous for Xbox platformer Tork, which was controversially dropped by publishers Micrsoft last year and will presumably now be picked up by Ubisoft.
