UK's BAFTA Game Award Nominees Announced

BAFTA has announced the organization’s nominations for the 2007 British Academy Video Games Awards, with Nintendo's Wii Sports taking the largest number of nominations this year, ahead of Real Time Worlds' Crackdown, Epic's _Gears of War</

Representatives from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) have announced the organization’s nominations for the 2007 British Academy Video Games Awards. Nintendo's Wii Sports took the largest number of nominations this year, ahead of Real Time Worlds' Crackdown, Epic's Gears of War, Capcom's Okami and Sony's God of War II. A short list was then divided into released and unreleased titles, with each BAFTA game juror playing either the finished game or pre-release code. The winner of a publicly voted PC World Gamers Award will also be announced at the gala awards ceremony, due to be held in London on 23rd October during this year's London Games Festival.
