According to data from the NPD Group sales of video games in the US rose 5% in February, despite a continued drop in sales for the PlayStation 2. The console saw a 13% year-on-year decline in software sales, despite an increase in market share. Electronic Arts saw sales rise 38% in the month, increasing its market share to 23% for the month and almost 25% for the year. The best selling game during February was Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for the GameCube. Source: Reuters
