Nintendo has announced that this week's Virtual Console update will see the addition of two new classic games available on the Wii Shop channel: Super NES title Harvest Moon and TurboGrafx-16 title Lords of Thunder. The SNES Harvest Moon title, first released in 1997, is the first in a series that currently comprises over 20 titles. The farming-simulator gameplay tasks players with managing crops, livestock and other aspects of farm life, such as getting married and celebrating holidays, and is priced at 800 Wii Points ($8). Lords of Thunder is a side-scrolling shooter that casts the player as Landis, a legendary warrior who must stop enemies from reviving a dark warlord. The game is characterized by its heavy metal soundtrack, and features six stages. Players can complete the stages in any order and collect crystals to buy armors and items, each one more effective in different stages. Lords of Thunder is also priced at 800 Wii Points ($8).
