Microsoft has announced that Wednesday's regular Xbox Live Arcade update will see the addition of Ubisoft's next-gen remake Prince of Persia Classic, adding a number of new puzzles, traps, and modes to Jordan Mechner's 1989 original. In the game, developed by mobile developers Gameloft, players will take on the role of the prince as he attempts to rescue a princess in under 60 minutes, dueling enemies, escaping traps, and platforming in a fully 3D and HD updated sidescrolling world. Apart from the new graphics and design, which brings the game more in line with the more recent 3D entries in the franchise, the game will also feature leaderboards for an additional time attack mode where gamers struggle to complete the game as quickly as possible. It will also feature a survival mode to complete the game on one life. With the standard 12 Achievements ranging from finding your first sword to finding all of the potions in the game, Prince of Persia Classic will be available this Wednesday at a price of 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
