Alex Seropian, the founder of Bungie and executive producer of Halo, has announced that his new company Wideload Games will have its first title published by Aspyr Media. The publisher has till now dealt primarily with the Mac format, but has recently indicated a desire to move into multi-format publishing. Under Seropian, Bungie was a keen supporter of the Mac, with its much admired Marathon series of games appearing exclusively on that format. The deal for Wideload’s first game, which is as yet unnamed and known only to be an action title using the Halo engine, will be for PC and Xbox, although other format releases are being considered.
