Xbox 2 Controller Loses Buttons

According to unnamed sources within Microsoft the controller for the next generation Xbox console will not include the black and white buttons from the current version. The source claims that “studies show that the black and white buttons are the two least used and hardest to use buttons on the standard Xbox pad, so are therefore unlikely to feature in the Xenon version." This raises further doubts on whether the next Xbox console will be backwards compatible but does show that Microsoft are willing to listen to criticism of its hardware, which has been particularly vociferous in regards to the controller.
