An investigation by British trade paper MCV has found that 60% of hardcore Xbox gamers have had their machine chipped, with many downloading emulators and games from the Internet. Comments gathered from hard core gaming forums include: "I download 90 per cent of my games"; "I've been very impressed with what chipped Xboxes can do"; "I'm getting a chipped Xbox for emulation"; and "I bought my Xbox with the full intention of getting it chipped".
