Brighton-based Kuju Entertainment studio Zoë Mode is expanding, it says, thanks to an influx of development projects that has allowed it to boost staff. Formerly Kuju Brighton, Zoë Mode primarily develops music games, collaborating with Sony London on EyeToy Play and SingStar, and more recently, working on the just-launched Rock Revolution for Konami and You're in the Movies for Codemasters and Microsoft. "Since our rebrand in March last year, we have experienced an enormous interest from publishers around the globe looking to place development projects with Zoë Mode," says studio head Ed Daly. The Brighton studio's headcount has grown 50 percent -- 60 new staffers, according to Daly, and encompasses a wide range of experience levels from programming graduates to senior managers. "As per our commitment to a diverse workforce, our new hires are widely varied in age and include a number of new female developers," Daly adds. As a result of the growth, Zoë Mode staff are moving into new, larger Brighton offices. It appears that this expansion is in addition to the company's previously-announced plans to open a London studio this year.
