Slitherine Software :

The Drukhari thrive on suffering. And now players of Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War can join that experience with today’s release of the major new Drukhari expansion. With the launch of this DLC, a host of new units and game mechanics have been unleashed on the popular 4X turn-based game from publisher Slitherine and developer Proxy Studios.

Corrupt and Depraved
The ancient, malicious Drukhari, corrupt and depraved, have survived in immense interdimensional Webway cities. Suppressing the psychic power of their Aeldari kin, the Drukhari have become known for their cruelty and unnatural agility. As raiders, the Drukhari venture out of their dark Commorragh to plunder and loot the realspace in devastating raids, searching for hapless souls to be harvested.

Raiders and Slavers
The Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Drukhari expansion features the Drukhari in all their malicious terror, from a roster of units to exciting new gameplay mechanics. The Drukhari are invigorated by Power from Pain, with additional bonuses as suffering spreads on the battlefield. Destroying enemy units rewards the player with tradable influence thanks to their Soul Hunger, while Drukhari’s foul Haemonculi renders down some captives into powerful stimulants usable by its infantry. The faction’s Corsair Outposts have reduced growth rates, which can be improved by controlling more outposts, while the Raider Fortress is found on activated Webway gates, key portals from which the Drukhari can unleash their devastating raids of Gladius Prime.

Engines of Pain
Drukhari hero units deployable in Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Drukhari include the cunning Archon, granting various offensive bonuses aimed at neutralizing priority targets, as well as the monstrous Cronos, an Engine of Pain, able to heal nearby troops. Another resilient support hero is the Haemonculus, wielding arrays of horrific implements to keep other Drukhari units in the fight.

Blade Masters
Units are as varied as Drukhari’s terrifying schemes. Blades are omnipresent in Drukhari culture, giving units bonus armour penetration in melee. Close combat infantry units include resilient Wracks with their poisoned weapons, fast Wyches known as the dancers of death, jump-capable Scourges, and warrior-perfectionist Incubi, among others. Vehicles range from Raider versatile assault transports to Ravager gunships and Razorwing Jetfighters.

Acclaimed Strategy
Warhammer 40,000: Gladius is the acclaimed 4X turn-based strategy from creators Proxy Studios and publisher Slitherine. Released in 2018, it pits multiple factions against each other as they vie for dominance on the relic-strewn Gladius Prime. The Drukhari expansion is the latest in a line of successful DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Gladius, each brimming with new content, units, features, or even entire new factions.

What is Warhammer 40,000: Gladius

The one and only 4x strategy game set in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe, Gladius was published in the summer of 2018. Since then, Slitherine and Proxy Studios have kept the game alive with constant updates and DLCs. Warhammer 40,000 Gladius has a Very Positive rating in player reviews on Steam.

In the base game, the player could conquer and explore Gladius with the heroic Space Marines and valiant Sister of Battles, the brutal Orks, the relentless Necrons, the brave Imperium and fervent Adeptus Mechanicus. With the additional DLCs, the player could also lead the new factions such as the ravenous Tyranids, the corrupted Chaos Space Marines, the ambitious T’au, and the the swift and deadly Craftworld Aeldari.

Now another faction joins the fight with the merciless Drukhari faction.
