PASADENA, Calif. (November 23, 2021) – A List Games today announced its ongoing effort as a new video game publisher to create evergreen, live service video game franchises. A List will feature full-service publishing efforts to empower developers with funding, mentoring, AAA marketing, and more, all under a community-first approach.

The publisher is a part of and powered by The Ayzenberg Group, a full service advertising agency, and leader in video game marketing. A List joins Ayzenberg’s a.network, which is a collection of independent multi-disciplined companies that augment the core agency group.

A List will leverage the agency’s talent to produce AAA content and fuel community-first marketing. With experience working on dozens of hit titles over the past two decades, the core A List team formed after working on hit titles at ArenaNet, Bethesda Softworks, Blizzard, and Electronic Arts.

“We publish live service games because we love building and inspiring communities,” A List Games senior vice president Steve Fowler said. “By making sure the community comes first, we can focus when, where and how we use Ayzenberg’s creative might to drive player engagement and retention, strengthening the relationships between players and game developers.

If you’re building a great live service game - we want to talk to you.”

A List is preparing its first two multiplayer games, tentatively scheduled to launch on PC for Steam in 2022:

  • Hell is Others: A top-down shooter requiring players to survive, harvest, and farm in a noir love-craftian world featuring an economy fueled by blood

  • Kingshunt: A third-person MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) where players can summon fierce minions and place powerful towers

"A List understands gaming audiences, game developers and the need to grow a game in an authentic manner," Strelka CEO Pietro De Grandi said. "Their marketing prowess and mentorship give us confidence Hell is Others can be a great success."

Ayzenberg’s strategic and creative output supports clients including Bethesda Softworks, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Square Enix, Tencent and Xbox. A List will access Azyenberg’s 250-person team to grow communities, raise awareness, create and execute captivating launch campaigns to help partners’ games rise above the crowded market.

“A List offered us much needed experience in marketing, community building and using data to improve our game,” Teemu Jykinen, president and studio head of Vaki Games said. “Their commitment to helping us deliver on our creative vision and help us grow a real community around Kingshunt has been fantastic.”
