AARONDAMAC Wins Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Tournament at Evo 2024

Video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Koichi Watanabe, hereinafter referred to as “Cygames”) has announced that AARONDAMAC has won the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR) tournament at Evo 2024. The event was held in Las Vegas from July 19 to 21 (PT). Cygames has also confirmed the release date of Version 1.50, set for August 20.


AARONDAMAC Wins Evo 2024 GBVSR Tournament


On July 21, AARONDAMAC emerged as the victor of the GBVSR tournament at Evo 2024, the world’s premier fighting game tournament. Cygames would like to congratulate AARONDAMAC on their victory. As the winner, AARONDAMAC has qualified for a spot at the Arc World Tour Finals 2024 to take place in the United States in spring 2025.


Other qualifying tournaments for Arc World Tour 2024 (AWT2024) are scheduled to be held in various locations across the globe. For more information, please visit the AWT2024 website.

Update 1.50 Release Date and New DLC Character, Versusia


Version 1.50 is scheduled to go live on August 20 and will include several major balance adjustments as well as the addition of Versusia to the roster as a playable DLC character.


Furthermore, come October 2024, Vikala will be joining the roster as the final DLC character from Character Pass 1.
