MIAMI BEACH, Florida – June 6, 2024 – ANTONBLAST, the fast-paced explosive action platformer all about destruction from developer Summitsphere and publisher Joystick Ventures, blasts on the scene with a brand new cinematic preview trailer during Guerrilla Collective, before it crash lands onto Nintendo Switch and Steam on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Watch the Cinematic Preview here

The intro cinematic preview introduces Satan himself (voiced by Ultrakill star Gianni Matragrano), whose sole mission is to be the reddest being in existence. When Satan’s Magic Mirror reveals Dynamite Anton - a destruction worker living in the slums of Boiler City - to be potentially even redder, Satan launches an all-out assault on Anton and his beloved Spirit Collection in an effort to siphon his delightfully rosy tone.

In order to be visually unified with ANTONBLAST’s striking cartoon-meets-graffiti pixel art style, the intro cinematic runs entirely in-engine and was fully animated by Summitsphere’s in-house team.

“One of our primary goals with ANTONBLAST has been to make the player feel as if they’re experiencing a living, breathing 2000s cartoon, and so injecting as much of our personality as possible into every crevice has been crucial,” says Tony Grayson, Fearless Leader at Summitsphere. “Our animated in-engine cutscenes are the furthest logical conclusion of that. Marrying our cutting-edge 2D engine tech with our crack team of industry standard animation professionals - not to mention Gianni’s unparallelled performance - allows us to deliver breathtaking game animation beyond pretty much any other cartoon title out there right now.”

ANTONBLAST is a fast-paced explosive action platformer that's all about destruction. Play as the enraged Dynamite Anton (or his cranked-out coworker Annie) and use your Mighty F’n Hammer to demolish bizarre worlds, tussle with screen-filling bosses, and steal your Spirits back from Satan!

That's right: Satan himself has stolen Anton's prized Spirit collection, and he'll stop at nothing to get it back. Thankfully, the local disgraced casino owner, Brulo, has his own beef with Satan, and he's willing to put aside his differences with Anton to make that devil pay.

Your mission in every level is simple: SET Brulo's Detonators, FIND Anton's Spirit, and ESCAPE before Happy Hour ends!

ANTONBLAST explodes onto Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on November 12, 2024. Destruction enthusiasts who hate the devil can follow Summitsphere on their official websiteTwitter/XTikTok, and Instagram, and join their Discord server, and visit Joystick Ventures’ official website and follow them on Twitter/X.
