ArcadeXR Launches Anticipated Retro Indie Update for Arcade Legend

March 7, 2024, Singapore – ArcadeXR is excited to announce the launch of a massive, free update to its popular game Arcade Legend on Meta Quest.  The “Retro Indie Update” adds a new venue for players to explore, and a curated selection of unique, 8-bit arcade games officially licensed from independent developers.

The update includes 18 games, including titles like “Golf Sunday”, “Whiplash Taxi Co”, “Birds with Guns” and over a dozen more, across a variety of genres.  The games, originally created for the Pico-8 Fantasy Console, have been turned into classic retro arcade cabinets, complete with local leaderboards to foster social, competitive play.  All the games can be found in the game’s new venue, called Arcade Galactic, an authentic, neon-lit basement hangout reminiscent of the 80’s golden era of arcades.

As the game’s most requested feature, retro games round out Arcade Legend’s modern arcade experience.  In addition to allowing players to build and customize their own arcade, players will recognize officially licensed ticket redemption games from the real world, where they can win tickets to spend in their prize store, and access full-feature group attractions like ten-pin bowling and axe throwing.
