Jolt Online Gaming, Europe's largest independent online gaming network, is pleased to announce that it is supplying a raft of high-spec game servers to the Game Guru TV show, a part of the Sky TV Game Network channel 172 line-up.
The servers, widely recognised as the fastest in Europe, will be used to run a selection of the latest PC titles. Tying in with the show, viewers will be invited to connect and compete against each other for free. The arrangement forms part of the Game Guru plan to increase interactivity with viewers in keeping with the spirit of gaming. Uniquely the show already encourages viewers to contact the live Gurus and get help and advice on any of the latest games.
For Jolt it represents yet another move towards the mainstream, with online gaming remaining one of the fastest growing forms of entertainment. As well as providing the servers, Jolt will be handling the necessary support and optimisation to ensure that the latest games are available to play from release and operating at peak performance.
"Whenever anyone thinks of high quality online gaming solutions, they think of Jolt," explains Dominic Silk, Jolt's CEO, "As Europe's main independent online gaming specialist, we're always more than able to deliver those solutions with total professionalism, whether it's for a single server or a full array. We're pleased to offer our services to such a highly credible interactive TV show."
Gareth Williams, Producer at Sky Telemedia adds: "Interactivity is a key part of our strategy and what could be better than encouraging our viewers to put their reputations where their mouths are by competing against each other online and in real-time. Working with Jolt is ideal for us since they have such a well-deserved reputation for being the best at what they do."
