Monster Theater Games :

Atomic Owl is a Neo-Japanese-inspired, art-based single-player, side-scrolling roguelite that combines fast-paced platforming with dynamic hack-and-slash combat and a variety of weapons, powerups, and a demonic blade. Following closely in the legendary footsteps of Hollow Knight, Bloodstained, and Shovel Knight, with authentic pixel art, no frills, mtx, battle pass nonsense -- just a fun single-player, nostalgic experience where you play as a shinobi owl.

Journey through eight roguelike zones, save your friends, and take up arms against Omega Wing!

Key Features   Crunchy game loop, and high replayability. Master the art of dashing, dodging, slicing, and dicing. Time your attacks accordingly, and absorb the souls of the fallen Tengu. Increase your Bladewing Level, upgrade your weapons, and master the combat loop so that Hidalgo may save Judanest from the evil Void Crows. Employ powerful Wing Remnants to amplify your strength.  Defeated Tengu and Void Crows have a chance to drop Wing Remnants, combat modifiers that push Hidalgo's strength and combat ability to the next level. Whether it's infusing his blade with the Power of Miasma, Thunder, or granting a one-time shield that protects from attacks. Hidalgo will be able to acquire upgrades to Wing Remnants that will give him that extra edge in combat. Atomic Owl's soundscape is a neon-enriched, synthwave adventure.  We wanted to sandwich the velvet-smooth feel of modern 80's renaissance synthwave PlayStation 2/Gamecube-era JRPG music into a unique mood piece for Atomic Owl. Our soundtrack is inspired by artists like Gunship, and Mitch Murder and games like Phantasy Star Online and Ni-No-Kuni. What makes this Kickstarter so different from the rest? We have a bunch of physical and digital rewards that think outside of the box of the standard merchandise you may see other video games & Kickstarters release. We have partnered with Brett Bolden, an American manga artist, to bring our backers a one-of-a-kind experience with narrative in indie games, a fully fleshed-out manga! The first volume will cover the prequel of the game where Hidalgo and the Bladewing Troupe encounter the mysterious Pumpkin Knight.  We also have a limited edition high-quality vinyl. Each vinyl will feature 40 minutes (20 minutes A, 20 minutes B side) on 12" (140G), with a printed outer jacket, inlay, and protective sleeve. The Kickstarter ends on April 25th.
