For Immediate Release
California, USA, December 13th, 2004 - Urban Squall (www.urbansquall.com) announced today that Battalion has entered the third and final round of beta testing.
Battalion features a no-download system where you can login and play from anywhere, instantly. It is a full sound and graphic game where you control a battalion of troops and resources and must use them tactically against your opponents. The game is entirely online and there is always someone available to be battled. You can play against the computer or against up to three other real players.
The changes going into the final beta are new maps to be tested, new units and unit balancing, animated tiles and other graphic improvements, and the implementation of "premium" features, which are entirely optional. On top of that, numerous changes to aid stability and bug fixes have been made and will continue to be made from the support of the players.
To celebrate the end of phase two, a tournament was held earlier this week and Zates has become the first general of Battalion, earning him a free month of premium access. The final beta will have multiple tournaments throughout its duration for more lucky winners.
Battalion is currently free for the duration of the beta testing and most of the game will be free forever. The next tournament begins January 10th and many prizes will be given away. Registration only takes a minute but mastering Battalion may take a lifetime! Give it a try at www.urbansquall.com.
