The big screen videogame tournament held on Saturday and Sunday 8th/9th January was a big success, raising over £1,000 for victims of the tsunami disaster.
Over a hundred gamers donated £3 each to play over the two days at Leicester Square's Vue Cinema, with some quality gaming and competitive action complemented by the atmosphere provided by the big screen and incredible surround sound.
And there's more money to be raised! Tickets are still on sale for the raffle, to be drawn this weekend, which gives you a chance to win a framed A4 poster of Tiger Woods Golf signed by the man himself, and a framed Cricket 2005 game sleeve signed by Michael Vaughan, both donated by EA, and a slim line PS2 donated by Gameplay.co.uk. Anyone who wishes to make further donations or purchase raffle tickets can do so by contacting the number below - we welcome them all!
Remember, all proceeds go straight to the Disaster Emergency Committee.
Big thanks to all who helped over the weekend, especially those who donated games and merchandise to give away as prizes. Microsoft Xbox, EA, Sports Interactive, GameStation, GamePlay, CeX, ELSPA, GAME, Joystick Junkies, VUE Cinema Leicester Square and everyone else!
The money raised over the weekend will make a real difference to those who have survived the tsunami, only to face disease, starvation, homelessness and the grief of losing loved ones. Massive thanks to all who donated.
