(Los Angeles, E3 Expo) - BigWorld Pty Ltd will demonstrate the latest version of their market-leading MMOG software platform, BigWorld Technology Suite V1.6, at this year's E3. BigWorld Technology provides Massively Multiplayer Online Game studios with the ideal platform on which to build the next generation of large-scale online games.

BigWorld will be exhibiting at booth #6001, right in the entrance to Kentia Hall. Several BigWorld licensees will also be showing their games on the BigWorld booth, with Farlan showcasing their upcoming game Dark & Light. Several other titles will be shown, with some exciting new announcements expected.

The BigWorld Technology Suite is an integrated set of tools, software and systems that provides all of the underlying technology and content development tools required to produce an MMOG. BigWorld has licensed their technology for use in 43 different upcoming games, making it the de facto standard MMOG development platform.

BigWorld technical artists will be available at E3 to personally demonstrate the sparkling new DirectX9 3D engine, improved direct export from 3D Studio MAX and newly-added support for direct export from Alias Maya. BigWorld's renowned content creation pipeline will also be on display. The enhanced, entirely data-driven art pipeline uses the FX shader file format and XML definitions, allowing the 3D engine and tools to support arbitrary vertex formats and shader importation.

Server engineers will also be on hand to demonstrate the server software, including the breakthrough multi-tiered load balancing architecture that allows BigWorld Server to support multiple shards, multiple worlds and even multiple games on a single cluster. Technology specialists will further explain how this highly available architecture can provide a level of robustness and resource utilisation unparalleled in the industry.
