Black Desert Console Announces Native Builds for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, Enhancing Gaming Experience

PS5 and XSX builds specifically designed for said platforms, both currently in the works.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands — December 2, 2024 — Today, Pearl Abyss is excited to announce the development of native builds of Black Desert Console for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series.


The new builds will leverage the advanced hardware of these platforms, offering players a superior gaming experience. Best of all, this upgrade will be rolled out for free to all current Black Desert Console owners.


In a recent Developer Commentary video, Black Desert Console General Manager Matt provided updates on the project and future plans for the game:

 

  • The PlayStation 5 version has completed internal development and is nearing platform certification.

  • Development for the Xbox Series X version is ongoing, with both native builds expected to be released by the first half of 2025.

  • Larger-scale updates such as the Land of the Morning Light Expansion will follow the release of the native builds.

  Matt expressed gratitude for players' patience, promising a significant enhancement to the game’s visual and performance fidelity on next-gen consoles. Players can expect detailed FAQs and notices soon, ensuring a smooth upgrade process.

Additionally, on December 12, 2024, Pearl Abyss will release exciting updates to keep players engaged:

 

  • Kharazad Accessories: A new upgradeable item set, crafted using existing Deboreka accessories and a new material, Essence of Dawn, obtained from Land of the Morning Light monster zones.

  • Accessory Exchange System: A newly introduced system that allows players to exchange parts of the Deboreka accessory set. For example, players can exchange a Deboreka Necklace for a Deboreka Ring.

  • Daily Rewards & Special Events: Beneficial items like Mythical Censer and significant buffs for PvE, PvP, and life skills, running until March 2025.

    • Life Skill EXP (excluding Trading) 50%

    • Mount EXP 50%

    • Training EXP 50%

    • Farming EXP 100%

    • Flower of Oblivion x2 Event

    • Imperial Training Delivery Invoice Event

    • Combat EXP 500%

    • Skill EXP 200%

    • Increased Item Drop Rate 50%

    • Double Rewards: Black Shrine, Dark Rifts, Atoraxxion, Red Battlefield

    • Copy Item with One Marni Fuel Event

  These updates aim to enrich the current gameplay experience while preparing players for the enhanced future of Black Desert Console.
