'Yar!' card game arrives at same time as Calpheon Ball community event announcement.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands - December 1, 2021—Pearl Abyss announced today that Black Desert PC will be updated with a unique card game named “Yar!” which allows players to play frantic matches against friends and foes and has announced the dates for the upcoming Calpheon Ball community event which will showcase exciting content that is planned for 2022.

Yar! is a fast and addictive card game which can be played against several in-game NPCs as well as other players. It is a card-drawing game where one needs to commit to certain hands to earn a number of points. The player who has the highest combination of points wins the game. When starting the game, one draws a hand of five cards and players can choose to either keep the hand or to re-draw. The number of times one can draw and the hands you can score may differ depending on the level of difficulty. Yar!’s main appeal comes from strategically considering which cards to keep or re-draw and which hand to commit points to in order to achieve the best score possible.
The game conveniently allows you to play with any adventurer travelling across distant lands and can also be played against several NPCs via their interaction menu such as the General Goods Vendor Eileen, Fish Vendor Crio and Innkeeper Islin Bartali. Both NPC matches as well as player matches allow adventurers to earn unique titles and it will be a challenge to collect them all.
Calpheon Ball Community Event
Last but not least, Pearl Abyss has announced the dates for its upcoming Calpheon Ball, A recurring community event full of content reveals and celebration of Black Desert, which will take place on December 11 for Black Desert Console & PC adventurers and December 12 for those who play on mobile. Aside from a full program of entertainment and community activities, the show will also highlight and tease new content that is planned for the future. The event will be live streamed through Black Desert’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.
